Abstract

This article examines prophetic traditions that serve as the foundation of justice and humanity education in Islam, with particular attention to the narration, “Help your brother, whether he is an oppressor or oppressed.” Using a literature review approach, this study analyzes the hadith texts, classical commentaries by scholars such as Imam An-Nawawī, Imam Al-Ghazālī, and Imam Ibn Ḥajar, and connects them to modern educational theories on social justice, solidarity, and character formation. The findings indicate that the prophetic traditions function not merely as ethical directives but also as a pedagogical framework emphasizing equality, protection of the vulnerable, prevention of injustice, and the strengthening of moral assertiveness within social behavior. These values are shown to be highly relevant to contemporary issues such as bullying, discrimination, and inequality in educational settings. Thus, prophetic teachings on assistance, justice, and compassion significantly contribute to shaping a just, civilized, and humane civil society
