HADIS TENTANG MATERI PENDIDIKAN SPIRITUAL DAN HATI

Abstract

This study explores spiritual education in Islam by emphasizing the heart (al-qalb) as the center of
morality and character formation. Based on the view that spiritual intelligence plays a greater role than
intellectual ability alone, the research refers to the ideas of Al-Ghazali, Ibn Qayyim, and the concept of
tazkiyatun nafs as a process of heart purification through the stages of takhalli, tahalli, and tajalli. Using
library research and a theological-normative approach, this study analyzes the Qur’an, Hadith, and
Islamic educational literature. The findings reveal that true piety is internal, and effective spiritual
education prioritizes purity of the heart, sincerity, and righteous deeds rather than ritual formality.
Tazkiyatun nafs significantly contributes to forming spiritual and moral character and highlights the
essential role of teachers as moral exemplars. Overall, Islamic spiritual education requires a balance
between inner purification and the practice of good deeds to develop spiritually mature and virtuous
individuals.
